Brite9 Audio · Novem
Brite9 Audio builds reference-grade equipment for people who still own their music. Our first product, Novem, archives compact discs bit for bit and plays them back through an engine built to be the finest in the world.
Novem is currently with a small number of listeners.
01 · Archive
Every disc is read at the drive's native rate, every track verified against independent checksums, and filed as uncompressed audio in a layout that never changes. SACD is handled with the same care. Nothing is encoded, nothing is written back into the file, nothing is lost.
02 · Play
A dedicated DSD512 playback engine with a gapless clock, controlled from a phone, tablet or desktop. There are no settings to get wrong. It defaults to the best possible quality and keeps everything else out of the way.
Bit-perfect by default
The highest quality is not an option you select. It is the only path through the system.
Appliance, not computer
Novem is a sealed, headless device. It is switched on, it is used, and it is never maintained.
